It’s been too many moons since we’ve talked about Trippple Nippples.
Thank clean water and crisp sheets, all that silence ends now.
On 4/20, your Sweetest Crewmates decided to split-up and enjoy our green-fueled holidays in two separate parts of the state, with Eric B. heading to the heaving flaps of Palm Desert to see some great Brainfeeder acts (more on that coming soon), and the rest of the Sweetest Drip crew going west to experience Trippple Nippples perform their first show in LA (County) at Santa Monica’s Central SAPC.
With the help of the great team at Central, we were given entry to cover one of the most talked-about live performance groups in one of the most beautifully designed venues we’ve seen LA (County) produce. The combination made for an absolutely fantastic show.
The Trippple Nippples set opened up with a serene scene of the three main performers of the group half-guzzling cheap hot dogs, the rest of which were then thrown into the crowd, partially chewed, and strangely drawn to Marc’s face, ringing the beginning of an unforgettable night.

Following through with a frenetic energy that already envelopes all their tracks, Trippple Nippples proved that they could deliver on something we’d been excited to witness all day: a skin-tingling live event covering all the senses and demanding your complete and utter attention. Perfect.
With confusion, awe and childish tribal energy reflecting off faces of the crowd, we could tell that everyone was in sync with the performance. We were all collectively eating up whatever this solid group did on stage with zeal and wonderment.
Showcasing different, jarring moments ranging from the contemplative forced-eating of strawberries down Yuka’s gullet, followed by a long and realistic regurgitation and moving onto energetic dancing with the whole crowd; the show was definitely something not in the norm, and by the end of the set it left a lingering regret in me personally. Why can’t other acts do this? Why is this so rare in America?
Though their first Pacific-Coast tour is over, our sisters and brothers in EU-rope and EN-gland have plenty of opportunity to see Trippple Nippples live.
Their current full schedule is below. Don’t miss it, I’m pretty sure you’ll be paying more than double when you try to see them next year.
