Indie Playlist Mondays

Every week, we’ll share ten new tracks and videos that make us say yay!
Allow us to complement your growing indie playlist with some of the sweetest tunes.
We don’t rate with numbers because everything is cat-approved.

01. Strip Steve & Rynecologist – Kicker

Marc: Basically, dicking around turned into one slick idea for a track. Dripping wet.

02. Smoke DZA feat. ASAP Rocky, ASAP Twelvy, Danny Brown, Killa Kyleon & Freeway – 4 Loko Remix (prod. 183rd)

Reuel: Smoke DZA released his Sweet Baby Kushed God mixtape free for all those sittin’ high and tippin’ slow. Despite the demise of the OG 4 Loko recipe, this spread of purp’d-up rappers contribute toward a new lean-Loko mix of wavey ingredients.

03. Birdy Nam Nam – Goin’ In

Reuel: I can’t believe I hadn’t given Birdy Nam Nam a listen ’til now. Also, check out the Sam Tiba remix made known to us by a member of le officiel Sweetest Drip Facebook open group!

04. MF Doom – California Vomit (prod. by Tolodius)

Marc: Doomsday here in California as MF slays my ears with some delicious vomit.

05. Onra – Still Broke

Howard: I’m fucking hung-over, but this song makes for a good wake-up call.

06. Bag Raiders – Not Over

Howard: Awww shit. Hangover’s starting to get better. I’m glad Bag Raiders is still doing their ting. These guys pull off a hell of a live show.

07. The Weeknd – The Fall (prod. Clams Casino)

Reuel: If you’ve yet to become acquainted with The Weeknd and Clams Casino, now’s the time. They’re amongst 2011’s bosses who came threw lookin’ clean.

08. CESAR – I – SOLAR

Roddy: Nice build up to some funky goodness with cleverly placed breaks, def worth a listen and this one rewards repeat plays

09. Giraffage – Everything Is Going To Be Alright

Reuel: It’s as the title says. Another selection inspired by a member of the Sweetest Drip open group.

10. The Gordon Setter – Sous Le Sunlight (KICKo Remix)

Roddy: This one found me out of nowhere and it’s quickly racking up repeats. New faves, maybe, yes!

We’ll be sure to keep your seat warm and the groove intact until next week’s indie playlist — Sweetest Drip got yer back.
